# Quickstart Guide {#quickstart-guide}

Follow this walkthrough to create your first survey and collect responses in MQUAD.

## 1. Create an Account {#1-create-an-account}

Navigate to your MQUAD instance URL and click **Sign Up**. Complete the registration form:
- **Full Name** — Your contact name
- **Email Address** — Your primary email for login
- **Password** — Use a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
- **Workspace Name** — The name of your organization's new workspace

You will receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account. Once verified, log in to access your workspace dashboard.

## 2. Create a Survey {#2-create-a-survey}

From the sidebar, navigate to **Surveys** and click **Create Survey**. Give your survey a title (e.g., "Customer Satisfaction Survey") and an optional description. Click **Create** to open the survey designer.

The designer auto-saves your progress. Add your first question by clicking the **+** button:

- **Question text**: "How satisfied are you with our service?"
- **Question type**: Select **Range** (slider input) and set min 1, max 5
- **Required**: Toggle on

Add a second question:

- **Question text**: "Any additional comments?"
- **Question type**: **Text**
- **Required**: Toggle off

When ready, click **Publish** to make the survey active. The designer validates your survey before publishing.

## 3. Grant Access and Collect Responses {#3-grant-access-and-collect-responses}

MQUAD uses access-controlled data collection — enumerators must be granted permission to fill a survey.

In your survey, click **Manage Access**:

- Add users by email and set their access level to **Fill**
- Enumerators will see the survey on their **Forms** page and can submit responses

To test your survey, you can also fill it yourself from the **Forms** page.

## 4. View Results {#4-view-results}

Navigate to your survey and open the **Data** tab. You will see a table of submitted responses. Click on a response to view full details.

Switch to the **Analytics** tab for aggregate insights:

- Total response count
- Completion rate with progress indicator
- Response trend over time (daily/weekly/monthly chart)
- Per-question answer distribution with percentages

Use the **Export** tab to download data in CSV, Excel (XLSX), or JSON format.

## Next Steps {#next-steps}

- Invite team members to collaborate via **Users** in the sidebar
- Configure approval workflows to review responses before finalizing
- Set up a custom dashboard with the dashboard builder
- Import surveys from XLSForm for advanced form designs

Your survey is live and collecting data.
